We all love our smartphones and are most of the times hooked to their screens for entertainment, work, travel and what not. We often insured them and apply screen protectors to save them from physical damages. However, what can be done if you have a bad day and had your smartphone lost or stolen. In such scenarios, your personal and professional information can be at risk, which can prove havoc. That said, here we are giving you some applications that can save your day and can help you track, lock or reset your lost smartphone

Where's My Driod

Where's My Driod

Where's My Droid is an app that comes with a number of features to help you track your lost Android smartphone. The application has features such as, Ring that forces your smartphone to ring, even if it is on silent mode. You just need to send a text, which will be your ‘ring attention’ word on your smartphone from any other handset. Next is the GPS feature that will find the geographic location of your phone by fetching the GPS coordinates with a link to Google maps. The inbuilt GPS flare feature will send an alert message carrying the last location of your smartphone (before its battery dies or someone switches it off) to the preset email id or the phone number.

Another interesting feature in this app is the camera feature that allows you to take the pictures with your smartphone cameras. The app then sends the images with a link where you can view the image to identify the person or the surroundings. You can also lock and wipe the data of your phone on the removal of the SIM card.
