After installing the app you need to change the setting of of your typing keyboard. then only you can use the google malayalam handwriting input app on your mobile device. to do the same open the setting of your mobile device. check for language and input section from the setting menu. change the default typing keyboard to google handwriting from here. you can check the images for details of changing language and others. the below images will give you more details about installing and using the google malayalam handwriting input.
